A Message from Father Andrew
Dear Holy Trinity,
We are excited to announce that our Monthly Newsletter, “The Messenger,” is back with its first addition being shared online and sent to your homes this past Friday!
The messenger, for many years, served as a means by which parishioners, friends, visitors, and newcomers, could connect with our Holy Trinity parish, receive updates on parish events, be given pertinent information regarding the life of our community, and be encouraged, through faith and love, to continue to support our parish ministries. The title of this newsletter- “The Messenger,” is one that bears a special connection to the Gospel. Our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Gospel of Luke, our Lord references the prophecy of Malachi which states, “Behold, I send my messanger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.” (Luke 7:27). Like Saint John the Baptist, who paved a way for people in the time of Jesus to know and encounter the saving message of our Lord, so we too, being given the tremendous responsibility to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through the Orthodox Christian Faith to our community here at Holy Trinity, the greater Fitchburg area, and even more broadly, to the whole world.
This Monthly Newsletter is just one more big step towards being able to connect you, our faithful stewards and friends, as well as others who may not be able to be with us each Sunday, for good reason, to the beauty of the Orthodox Faith and our beloved Holy Trinity community. May this “messanger” serve as just another means by which we can shine the light of Christ into the homes of our dear faithful. A special word of appreciation to Christina, our Administration Assistant, the Parish Council, and all those who participated in the compilation of this wonderful publication. May God be with you and bless your labors!
In Christ,
Fr. Andrew Bushell
