Meet the Leadership Team of Holy Trinity!

Presiding Priest: Rev. Fr. Andrew Bushell

Father Andrew Bushell grew up attending Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Fall River Massachusetts. A graduate of Hellenic College (’19) and Holy Cross (’22) Fr. Andrew served both his home parish of Saint Demetrios and Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Pawtucket, RI, and Saint Spyridon in Newport, RI, as chanter and youth coordinator. After traveling to Athens Greece during a 4-month summer abroad trip in 2017, Father Andrew began pastoral work at the Annunciation Cathedral in New England- a parish he served for 5 years as chanter, youth director, and pastoral assistant. Upon graduating from Holy Cross, Father Andrew began his full-time ministry at the Annunciation Cathedral as Pastoral Assistant, and participated in the creation of their weekly bulletin, parish website, and oversaw a vibrant OCF ministry that welcomed over 30 young people from the Greater Boston Area.

In addition to his involvement at the Annunciation Cathedral, Fr. Andrew served the Metropolis of Boston Camp as a staff member from 2015-2022 as both a staff member and Boy's Director. He and his wife, Demetra, also a long time staff member at MBC, led the 2024 Kosmos Trip on behalf of the Metropolis- a pilgrimage that brought 22 young adults to the Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Greece, for 14 days.

In August, 2023, Father Andrew took on a full-time position as Lead Director of the CrossRoad Summer Program- a 10-day residential program for Juniors and Seniors in High School based out of HCHC focused on discovering an Orthodox understanding of vocation. The academic institute ministers to youth across the country, and throughout multiple Orthodox jurisdictions, and helps them form their understanding of identity, purpose, belonging and reality, all while connecting with Orthodox ethos and tradition.

He was ordained to the Diaconate on July 28, 2024 by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston at the Metropolis of Boston Camp. After having served as His Eminence’ deacon for a year, he was ordained to the Priesthood on June 14 at the Annunciation Cathedral, and has since been traveling to different parishes under the advisement of the Metropolis.

In his spare time, Father Andrew loves to golf, read, go to the beach, and spend time with his family. He also loves music- all types of music, knows how to play the guitar, loves to sing, and is an avid history buff. He and Presbytera Demetra just welcomed their first son, Elijah Joseph, into the world this past summer.

Father Andrew is excited to serve the faithful members of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, in Fitchburg, and very much looks forward to beginning his priestly ministry at such a loving, welcoming, and dedicated community.
